About Providence, Divine Action and the Church

In this blog, Terry J. Wright posts thoughts and shares research on the Christian doctrine of providence. This doctrine testifies to God’s provision for all things through creation’s high priest, the man Christ Jesus. However, the precise meaning and manner of this provision is a perpetually open question, and this blog is a forum for discussion of the many issues relating to providence and the place of the Church within God’s action.

Kindling My Love for Calvin

I've just downloaded the Kindle edition of John Calvin's Commentaries on Providence for a mere £1.14. Not bad!

I'd not come across these commentaries during my doctoral studies. As far as I can tell, the content is simply all the various observations about providence that Calvin makes in the course of his Commentaries proper. Naturally, it pays to read Calvin's comments in context, but for quick access to his thoughts on, say, Genesis 45:8, it's going to be very, very handy.

If anyone has any more information about this Kindle edition of Commentaries on Providence, I'd be grateful to hear it.
