About Providence, Divine Action and the Church

In this blog, Terry J. Wright posts thoughts and shares research on the Christian doctrine of providence. This doctrine testifies to God’s provision for all things through creation’s high priest, the man Christ Jesus. However, the precise meaning and manner of this provision is a perpetually open question, and this blog is a forum for discussion of the many issues relating to providence and the place of the Church within God’s action.

Once More, Kevin Vanhoozer on Providence

Michael Bird at Euangelion has posted information about a new series of books due to be published by Zondervan Academic from 2016. Here’s the flyer:

Notice that Kevin Vanhoozer’s writing a new volume entitled Divine Action and Providence. It will be interesting to see in what ways he builds on (or departs from) Remythologizing Theology. I’m also looking forward to Oliver Crisp’s Election.

On a different note, my friend Harvey Edser has written another thoughtful post, this time on divine interaction with the world.
