About Providence, Divine Action and the Church

In this blog, Terry J. Wright posts thoughts and shares research on the Christian doctrine of providence. This doctrine testifies to God’s provision for all things through creation’s high priest, the man Christ Jesus. However, the precise meaning and manner of this provision is a perpetually open question, and this blog is a forum for discussion of the many issues relating to providence and the place of the Church within God’s action.

A Liberal Protestant Theology of Providence

My attention has been drawn towards Douglas Ottati’s soon-to-be-published Theology for Liberal Protestants: God the Creator. Judging by the index (which can be accessed via the Eerdmans website), he has a lot to say about providence. At the moment, I don’t intend to get hold of Ottati’s book; but if anyone out there intends to buy it and is willing to write a guest review for this blog, be sure to contact me here.
